3D Wall Art by Lesley Taylor

This year we welcome Lesley Taylor to Artery Gallery. Lesley creates unique three-dimensional boxed sculptures from her garden studio in West Sussex. Her work combines a series of different characters undergoing some rather unfortunate ‘accidents’, which creates quite a humorous range of wall art. Each piece is painted white with a single splash or drip of vibrant colour, which really makes them stand out.

Lesley’s ‘Drip’ series has been a real hit, always bringing a smile to people’s faces. Each piece features a painter in a precarious position where the decorating has gone horribly wrong.

Lesley’s ‘Vin Rouge’ series features an accident-prone chef and a bottle of red wine! With each piece disaster strikes and the wine is wasted in a dramatic splash across the artwork.

Lesley’s talent can really be seen here in her ‘Shades of New York’ wall sculpture. Whilst adding a touch of humor and fun to the piece, Lesley has still managed to capture the sense of the original New York photograph, which was taken more than 80 years ago on the 69^th floor of the RCA building as it neared completion.
